The Traffic Signals Division (TSD) of KELTRON an SBU under Keltron Communication Complex (KCC), which has been in existence for more than three decades, has been offering state of the art traffic controllers and package solutions for road traffic management

KELTRON Traffic Controllers are installed all over India and thus having a good number of installation base of around thousand numbers of road Traffic Signals within country during this period

We are the prime manufacture of Traffic Signal Controllers, Count Down Timers, LED stacked signal display units, automatic traffic signal systems like Fixed Time/Vehicle Actuated, Solar/Conventional/Hybrid powered, Wireless/Wired Traffic Controllers, Pedestrian Actuated Traffic Signal Systems, Road warning Blinkers etc.

TSD is executing various Modernisation projects in Transportation sector like Computerised Vehicle Fitness Testing Station, Automated Driver Testing Track, Vehicle Tracking Platform for Safety & enforcement as per AIS 140 Specifications, Road Safety packages includes Retroreflective Digital signages, LED lighting Systems.

TSD is now engaged in various Smart City Projects in INDIA for ATCS, ITMS, ICCC, Safe City etc.

Optical Output Device (LED Retrofit for Traffic Signal Light)

The KELTRON LED (Light Emitting Diode) Traffic Signal Light is along life, solid-state unit which can easily be retrofitted into the existing filament light in the conventional traffic light signal unit

Low Power Consumption

LED based Traffic Signal Light consumes less than15Watts (between 6 to15Watts) compared to conventional 100Watt filament bulbs. LED based Traffic lamps can even be operated by solar energy as these require 24V DC for operating the same. Energy saving is up to 80% to 90%

Long Life

Normally it has life of 100000hours compared to approximately 1000hours for filament bulbs. The ratio of 1:100

Pedestrian Crossing System

  • PELTRAC-D is the controller developed by KELTRON designed to ensure the safety of Pedestrians crossing a road.
  • Microcontroller based fixed time controllers operating with a set of predetermined signal plans, each of which can be implemented through real time based time-table events

Retro reflective Digital Signage Solutions

Automated Vehicle Testing Station

  • The Station will carry out various tests for determining fitness of a vehicle parameters like Speed, Noise level, Suspension, Side slip, Brake, Headlight and Visual inspection cameras as per the latest guidelines of MoRTH.
  • Each Testing Equipment has its own application to call from the software.Under this concept all the equipments will measure the value connected to the central unit.
  • The inspection result PASS/FAIL criteria of the test will be obtained automatically and cannot be edited
  • Once all the tests are completed, the authority will issue the Vehicle Fitness Certificate and Vehicle owner will gets the Vehicle Fitness Certificate

Automated Driver Testing Track

  • As part of e-Governance activities, Motor Vehicle departments of all States emphasis state wide computerisation in order to conduct effective, efficient and transparent testing of the candidates aspiring for driving license, against the present manual testing system
  • The Track will carry out various test pattern of ‘H’ Track, ‘8’ Track, 5 point turn, Gradient and zig zag
  • The authority will take the photo of the applicant at site and verify the same with application details and proceeds further
  • On completion of the test, system will analyse the results and store the data(Photos and Videos) in the local server
  • Finally the system will provides the test result and test result can be obtained in a printable format

Intelligent Transport System (ITS)

The Intelligent Transport System (ITS) covers all Public Transport Vehicles operate under Transport Department. The project has been sanctioned under “Central Assistance For Strengthening the ITS in Public Transport System” by Ministry of Road Transport & Highways

Aim and objectives of the project:
  • Improve reliability and service of Transport for passengers by providing ETA and Journey planner mobile application
  • Ease of use, convenience and better experience for passengers by Online Ticket Booking System at Depot/Stops and with Passenger Mobile App
  • Improve operation and efficiency by scheduling, planning, crew & duty allocation
  • Improve fleet health by workshop monitoring and preventive maintenance
  • Monitor, evaluate and assess the performance and efficiency of the bus system by Fully Integrated Single ITS Platform

AIS140 State Backend Vehicle Tracking Platform

  • The AIS140 State Backend Vehicle Tracking Platform is device agnostic platform developed with cutting edge open technologies which is capable to handle thousands of vehicles to be tracked in real-time
  • It is fully compliant with the AIS140 standard and successfully tested by Testing Agency designated under CMVR126 as per MoRTH guideline. The platform can be integrated with VAHAN, ERSS and other Monitoring & Enforcement Platforms
  • The passenger can press the emergency button present in the Vehicle Tracking Unit which immediately sends a notification to concerned authorities if any form of inconvenience is experienced in the vehicle
  • The notification with real time log in and monitoring interface containing the number of vehicle, name of driver and its location is further sent to ERSS team, Police personnel, Transport Department, Regional Transport Offices, Emergency
