Pedestrian crossings are intended to protect and safeguard the pedestrians while at the same time allowing vehicular traffic to minimize delays to journey time. PELTRAC are microprocessor based fixed time controllers operating with a set of predetermined signal plans, each of which can be implemented through real time based time-table events.

The KELTRON LED (Light Emitting Diode) Traffic Signal Light is along life, solid-state unit which can easily be retrofitted into the existing filament light in the conventional traffic light signal unit
- LOW POWERCONSUMPTION: LED based Traffic Signal Light consumes less than15Watts (between 6 to15Watts) compared to conventional 100Watt filament bulbs. LED based Traffic lamps can even be operated by solar energy as these require 24V DC for operating the same. Energy saving is up to 80% to 90%
- LONG LIFE: Normally it has life of 100000hours compared to approximately 1000hours for filament bulbs. The ratio of 1:100

Road Warning Blinkers are intended to alert the road users of potentially dangerous zones. Intersections of minor and major roads, school areas, market places, exit gates of building complexes etc. are some examples of such areas where extra caution is necessary. The Blinker will switch a signal lamp ON and OFF, producing about minimum 50 to 60 flashes per minute. This is to warn drivers that the area is accident-prone and that he has to drive with utmost care

As per the Motor Vehicle Act every transport vehicles shall carry a certificate of fitness to the effect that the vehicle complies with all the requirements of Motor Vehicles Act and Rules made there under. The state of the art Technology to automate as many tests as possible for ensuring Fitness of Vehicles with the use of Information and communication technologies so as to have uniform standards of testing, avoid the subjectivity of decisions and to bring transparency has been implemented through Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd.(KELTRON), being they are the pioneer state public sector undertaking in electronics technology. The Computerised Vehicle Testing Stations at Kozhikkode, Kannur and Trivandrum , the first ones to be set up by the Kerala Motor Vehicles Department in the State, are now issuing fitness certificates for light motor vehicles (LMVs) as part of phasing out of manual tests. The systems used are most modern machines with precise calibration, all are world class modern equipments. The accuracy in reading and precise measurement are the two main advantages of the Automatic Vehicle Fitness testing station.
